2010 – present: Executive Director and Co-Founder, OuterArts Maryland
Co-founded an orchestral training festival for college and graduate level musicians. Responsible for all administrative aspects of the organization, which produces an annual concert series and a youth strings program as well as the Festival. Also act as arts administration teacher during each season of the Festival.
2021 – present: Nonprofit Consultant
Consultant with a particular interest in new and small organizations, arts organizations, nonprofit farms, animal shelters and rescues.

Writing and editing magazine and newspaper articles, concert reviews, newsletters, press releases, social media posts, speeches, program notes, and more.

Played viola or violin in several concerts per season.
2009 – 2010: Graduate Assistant, College of Charleston Arts Management Program
Worked on student recruitment, acted as library liaison, assisted in planning the Charleston Jazz Initiative’s Legends Festival.

Handled faculty payroll, drove artists, and handled faculty and staff ticket requests.
September 2008 – April 2010: Copy Chief, George Street Observer
Copy edited all articles for spelling, grammar and AP Style errors, as well as writing quality.
June – August 2008: Stage Technician, Tanglewood Music Center
Stage managed a series of chamber concerts. Assisted the Stage Manager in the transport of instruments, as well as in setup of orchestra and chamber rehearsals and concerts.
2007 – 2008: Executive Director, Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra
Duties included overseeing the daily operations of the organization, liaising with other organizations, budgeting, venue scheduling, grantwriting, and working closely with the Board of Directors and the Music Director to fulfill the goals of the organization.
May – June 2007: Orchestra Manager, Spoleto Festival USA
Managed one of two orchestras. Assisted the Orchestra Administrator in all aspects of orchestra management, including transport of instruments, concert and rehearsal stage management, and personnel management.

Main duties included handling program advertising, writing newsletters and program notes, and working at concerts.

Private studio, teaching children and adult beginners. Taught violin, viola, and cello lessons.

Taught third-grade classes at four public schools to play “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” in a series of ten lessons. Also taught Twinkle in Ten in the Horizons program at the Kent School in Chestertown, MD.
2003 – 2007 (summers): Assistant Faculty, SummerMusic with the Mariner String Quartet
Coached string students ages 6-15 on solo and chamber music; performed with students in string orchestra and chamber ensembles.

Horseback Riding Instructor, Horse Trainer: Taught riders of various ages and skill levels in private and group lessons, and coached riders in competition. Trained horses for riding; also worked with horses to eliminate bad habits.
